Alex Smith A Risky Streaming Option In Week 7
6 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith has yet to throw for 300 yards or more than two touchdowns in a game this season. His next opponent is a Cowboys defense allowing just 225 passing yards per game to go with seven total passing touchdowns, so it's not exactly a safe bet Smith breaks either threshold in Week 7. Moreover, Smith could be leading a thinned herd of receiving options for the second week in a row, as Chris Thompson, Jamison Crowder and Paul Richardson are all dealing with injuries. Washington's offense is most effective when the running game leads the way, which further lowers Smith's ceiling against a tough defense.
