DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Justin Verlander, vs BOS ($9,200)
Verlander had a strong start in Game 1 of the ALCS, where he went six innings with six strikeouts while allowing two runs. With a 34.8% K-rate in the regular season and a 2.33 Deserved Run Average, Verlander has a combination of upside and reliability that no other starter on the slate possesses. He's a great starter to build your lineups around.
Hyun-Jin Ryu, at MIL ($7,100)
While Ryu wasn't quite as impressive in his first NLCS start, I still like him at this price when you consider what he's done this season. Ryu posted a 3.00 FIP in his 15 regular season starts and was brilliant in the NLDS. I'm certainly not interested in David Price at the same $7,100 cost.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Cody Bellinger - 1B/OF, at MIL ($4,600)
If Bellinger is leading off for the Dodgers again, he's a near must-play for me at this price. Bellinger's power upside in hitter-friendly Miller Park makes him a very attractive play, and you will be able to maximize your plate appearances with Bellinger leading off.
Jose Altuve - 2B, vs BOS ($4,700)
David Price has not pitched well in this postseason, so I'm expecting the Astros to put up some runs on him. Altuve will get the opportunity for lots of runs and RBIs batting second or third for Houston. Pairing him with some cheaper teammates could make for an effective stack.
Mike Moustakas - 3B, vs LAD ($4,000)
Moose isn't a great hitter, but at this price you can use him as a cheap play to get more expensive players in your lineup elsewhere. He'll be batting sixth in an extreme hitter's park.
Mike Moustakas - SS, at MIL ($5,200)
Dodgers bats are definitely the best play on this slate as they face Wade Miley. Miley pitched well in his first start against LA, but he posted a weak 14.8% K-rate with a 4.66 SIERA in the regular season. I don't think his success will last, and an elite hitter like Machado should tee off.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Mookie Betts, at HOU ($5,400)
There aren't a lot of Red Sox bats that I'm excited about against Justin Verlander, but you can't go wrong with Betts. He had an insane .346/.438/.640 line this year and is in the ultra-valuable leadoff spot.
Ryan Braun, vs LAD ($4,400)
Braun is a platoon-split guy to take advantage of, as he hit lefties to the tune of a 125 wRC+ this year. He's also cheap for a player batting third.
