Ilya Kovalchuk Buries His Second Goal
6 years agoLos Angeles Kings left wing Ilya Kovalchuk scored his team's only goal during a 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night. He slid a puck past Garret Sparks after Alex Iafallo forced a turnover in the offensive zone. Kovalchuk has tallied two goals and two assists through six games in his first NHL action since 2012-13. Playing heavy minutes alongside Anze Kopitar on the Kings' top line means that 30 goals are not out of the question for the Russian sniper.
