6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers backup kicker Mike Badgley may have just won the starting kicking job. After starting kicker Casey Sturgis was unable to go on Sunday, Badgley stepped in and couldn't have done it any better. Badgley nailed a 44-yard field goal and five extra points in the blowout win over the Browns, and head coach Anthony Lynn already told reporters that he may just give Sturgis an extra week off to recover because Badgley did so well. With the team haunted by kicking issues over the last few years, Badgley could easily find himself with a permanent gig if he can keep kicking like this.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
