Philip Rivers Lets The Run Game Seize The Day
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been getting a little traction in the early MVP chatter, but he didn't have much to do in Week 6 against the Browns. Rivers went 11-for-20 for 207 yards and a couple touchdowns, one of which came on an incredible catch by Tyrell Williams on an ill-advised throw into triple-coverage, but it was really the Melvin Gordon show. The last time Rivers threw the ball 20 or fewer times in a game was Week 15 of the 2013 season, and it's unlikely it'll happen again anytime soon. Rivers still posted a silly 10.35 YPA on the day, and it looks like LA's offense is a freight train.
