Calvin Pickard Stops 31 Shots In Victory
6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Calvin Pickard made the start between the pipes Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators and he allowed four goals on 35 shots in the 7-4 victory. It was a pretty impressive showing considering the fact his team hung him out to dry with a litter of penalties, leading to three power-play goals. He remains the backup to Brian Elliott, who is likely to get the nod in the next game, Saturday afternoon against the defending Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights.
