Chez Reavie Starts 2019 With Solid Performance
6 years agoJust like 2018, Chez Reavie has started his 2019 campaign off with a respectable finish at the Safeway Open, this time finishing in a share of 33rd place. Last season, the 36-year-old used his fast start at Silverado Resort as a springboard to greater success in upcoming weeks. Between October and February of his 2018 season, Reavie made 11 straight cuts, which included a 17th place finish at the CIMB Classic and back-to-back second-place finishes at the Waste Management and Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Despite all of this, Reavie must be careful not to fatigue himself like he did last year and fade towards the end of the season. However, the one-time PGA Tour winner will continue to mimic his 2018 schedule, at least for now, and will compete in this week's CIMB Classic field. Reavie is ranked first in fairways gained over his previous 50 rounds on Bermuda greens and is ranked third in strokes gained approach over that same duration of time.
