Alfred Morris Returns To Fantasy Relevance
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris mustered 61 yards on 18 carries, adding three grabs for 30 yards in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. Morris took over as the Niners primary back after Matt Breida (ankle) exited in the first half, but averaged just a mediocre 3.4 yards per carry. He was also stuffed on both his tries inside the 10-yard line. Breida is likely week-to-week with his ankle injury, so Morris is again on the fantasy radar as a volume-based RB3. Morris has been ineffective at the goal line and yielded passing work to Kyle Juszczyk but should still merit popular waiver consideration heading into Week 6.
