6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receivers Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garcon suffered a material impairment to their fantasy value with the season-ending injury to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Week 4 presents a daunting challenge against a Los Angeles Chargers secondary that has struggled this year but allowed the third-fewest passing yards in 2017. While both Goodwin and Garcon have game experience with quarterback C.J. Beathard, it’s unrealistic to believe their performance with an inexperienced second-year quarterback will match their potential with Garoppolo. Despite grabbing a touchdown in Week 3, Goodwin is best viewed as a WR3 and bench-worthy in shallower leagues. Garcon, second on the team with 14 targets but for only seven catches and 89 yards, is not trustworthy in this highly risky and uncertain quarterback situation.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
