Jose Altuve Hitting .270 Since All-Star Break
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve needs to simply stay healthy in the final week of the season. It has been one of the more disappointing stretches in Altuve's fantastic career, slashing only .270/.370/.413 with only 10 extra-base hits over his last 126 at-bats. Those numbers would be fine for most players but the reigning MVP is not your average player. A knee injury sidelined Altuve for a few weeks in August and it is possible he is still dealing with the effects. The best time to deploy Altuve in DFS, however, is anytime the team plays on the road. In 61 road games this season, Altuve is slashing .352/.409/.508 away from Minute Maid Park. The Astros open up a series in Toronto beginning Monday.
