O.J. Howard Trending Upward
6 years agoBuccaneers tight end O.J. Howard seems to have a good rapport with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Howard's only been targeted six times this year, but he has reeled in five for catches and turned it into 150 yards and a score. Howard's targets doubled from Week 1 (2) to Week 2 (4) and could see an uptick going into Week 3. With a high scoring game expected this Monday against Pittsburgh, Howard might be in line for another quality outing. He is a starter-worthy TE this week and could be an every-week starter going forward if he keeps on producing. The early season fear of fellow tight end Cameron Brate cutting into his workload seems to be overblown as Brate has not been targeted once this season and has seemingly been relegated to a blocking role.
