Robert Woods Leads Team In Targets
6 years agoThrough two games, the Los Angeles Rams leading receiver in yardage is Brandin Cooks. However, the leading receiver in targets is Robert Woods. Woods spends the majority of his time closer to the line of scrimmage, which makes him a frequent read for quarterback Jared Goff. Goff has a good arm, but he lacks the deep-ball accuracy of some of the more polished quarterbacks in the league. Woods should remain a high-floor option in PPR formats this season. The best area of the Chargers defense -- the Rams Week 3 opponent -- is their cornerback room, so Woods could be in for a reduced role this week. Depending on who Woods draws in coverage, he may be a fade option for the week.
