Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger went 3-for-5 with two singles, a three-run home run, a walk and six RBI in Saturday's 17-4 rout of the Cardinals. After a very disappointing first half of the season, the 23-year-old has turned things around in the second half, hitting .290 with six HR, 27 RBI, and six stolen bases. He now has a .260/.343/.472 slash line with 23 HR, 71 RBI, and 11 stolen bases on the season. Fantasy owners have waited all season for this kind of production, and it looks like Bellinger can help some owners take home fantasy titles.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that outfielder Cody Bellinger (back) is still getting treatment for his sore back, which is why he was out of the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting Kansas City Royals. "He's doing well. I just want to pick some spots here, especially getting through 13 (games) in a row here," Boone said. It doesn't sound like anything fantasy managers should be worried about, but they'll want to check back on Tuesday to see if he has returned to the starting lineup. It could also be a big reason for why the 29-year-old left-handed slugger is hitting just .191 (9-for-47) in the early going of his first year in pinstripes with a homer, eight RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases in 13 games played. Bellinger also missed some time early last week after dealing with food poisoning.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger will retreat to the bench for Monday's series opener against the visiting Kansas City Royals at Yankee Stadium. Trent Grisham is starting in center field and will bat eighth against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. Bellinger missed some time with food poisoning early last week, but he started the last four games for the Yankees after recovering. However, the Yankees are giving the 29-year-old left-handed slugger a day off after his slow start to the 2025 season. In his first 12 games in the Bronx, he has gone 9-for-46 (.196) with a home run, a triple, eight RBI, two steals, nine runs scored, four walks and 15 strikeouts in 53 plate appearances. Grisham has outperformed Bellinger so far with a .344 average, three homers and nine RBI in 32 at-bats, but he's down at the bottom of the batting order and is hitless in just three career at-bats against Lugo.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

After a bout with food poisoning that caused him to miss Tuesday's contest against the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger (illness) is back in center field and is hitting third for the series finale at Comerica Park against Tigers right-hander Jack Flaherty. The left-handed-hitting Trent Grisham will head back to the Yankees bench. The 29-year-old Bellinger should be returned to starting fantasy lineups now that he's feeling better. The two-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year and MVP has gone 7-for-30 (.233) in his first eight games with the Yankees in 2025, including a homer, six RBI and two stolen bases in 36 trips to the plate. He has faced Flaherty 15 times in his career and has hit .267 against him with an .886 OPS, one home run and two RBI.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger (illness) is out of the team's starting lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park with food poisoning. Manager Aaron Boon said Bellinger was "throwing up all night." To Boone's knowledge, nobody else on the team is sick. The 29-year-old ate some bad chicken wings last night, but he could be back in there for Wednesday's series finale. Trent Grisham is getting another start in center field on Tuesday against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal and is batting eighth in the lineup. While Grisham is off to a strong start in 2025 with a .423 average (11-for-26) with three homers, a double and nine RBI in his first nine games for the Bombers, we wouldn't recommend starting him in DFS on Tuesday against the reigning American League Cy Young winner.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
