Will Dissly Has Huge Week 1
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie tight end Will Dissly was supposed to mostly be a blocking tight end, but he led the team in receiving yards in his very first pro game. Dissly did most of his damage on a massive 66-yard catch-and-run that led to a Seattle field goal, and he also grabbed a 15-yarder for his first pro touchdown catch. Dissly's offensive output was quite unexpected, and it remains to be seen if this was a fluke one-time effort or the start of something worthwhile. In the past, Seattle has used their tight ends pretty liberally under head coach Pete Carroll, especially in the red zone, but Dissly faces a lot of stiff competition for touches down there. That said, if he can continue to perform like this, Dissly could become a go-to guy.
