Saints Defense Torched In Season Opener
6 years agoThe New Orleans Saints defense was torched in their season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Opposing quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick ended the game with over 400 yards passing and five touchdowns, two of the Buccaneers receivers had nearly 150 yards each and the Buccaneers had over 100 yards rushing as a team. Although the Saints defense has a favorable Week 2 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, after the terrible Week 1 performance they become a low-end play in all formats. It appears that targeting the Saints defense with opposing offensive players may be an excellent strategy for the remainder of the season.
