Mitch Trubisky Has Plenty To Prove In Week 1
6 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will finally give fantasy owners a glimpse of the Bears revamped offense when they take on the Packers Sunday night in Week 1. Head coach Matt Nagy has decided to still almost all of his starters for the entire preseason and Trubisky still lacks game experience. Trubisky scored nine total touchdowns in 12 starts as a rookie last season with a 77.5 QB rating. He will have plenty of new weapons to play with and has a favorable Week 1 matchup against a Packers defense that is in flux right now. Green Bay in 2017 allowed the sixth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and 30 touchdowns which prompted the front office to change the defensive scheme. Trubisky completed 21-of-35 passes for 297 yards and one touchdown in a losing effort against the Packers in Week 10 of last season. It is hard to envision a top-5 fantasy finish for Trubisky in Week 1 but has the talent to surprise fantasy owners this season. But for now, there are better starting options than Trubisky.
