Eli Manning To Face Stout Jaguars Defense Week 1
6 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will have his hands full to open the season when the Giants host the Jaguars. Manning is looking to bounce back from a disappointing season in 2017 and will have a tough test right out of the gate. The Jaguars defense last season allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, surrendering 17 touchdowns but racking up 21 interceptions. Manning threw for 3,468 yards last season with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions but has a replenished cast of weapons this season. Star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is healthy and rookie Saquon Barkley completely changes the complexion of the offense. Manning's numbers should improve this season but it will be a challenge to post fantasy numbers in Week 1 against the Jaguars. Manning's fantasy value is outside of the top-15 among quarterbacks for the first week.
