6 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels have recalled infielder Jose Miguel Fernandez from Triple-A Salt Lake. Fernandez is in the lineup on Saturday, playing first and batting sixth. Fernandez had a run with the Halos earlier in the season, hitting .279 with a run and four RBI. Fernandez hit .333 with 17 home runs and an incredible 8.6% strikeout rate at Triple-A, so there's a chance he will have some fantasy value in deeper leagues down the stretch if he takes over as the everyday first baseman, following Albert Pujols' season-ending knee injury.--patton
