Roman Quinn Stays Hot, Records Three Hits
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies are determined to continue playing rookie outfielder Roman Quinn as he continues to reward them. The 25-year-old batted leadoff and started in center field on Wednesday night, picking up three hits and scoring two runs as the Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals, 8-6. Quinn has played in 27 games this season and is hitting .369, swiping six bases, scoring 10 runs and driving in seven, surprisingly providing a spark as the club fights for a postseason spot. The Phillies suddenly find themselves with multiple candidates for outfield starters, but Quinn figures to play consistently.
