Charlie Morton Looks To Bounce Back Against A's
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Charlie Morton will take the ball in the second of a three-game series against the A's on Tuesday. Morton's last start is one he would soon like to forget, getting tagged for six runs on seven hits in five innings of work. Morton (13-3) has enjoyed a fantastic season to this point and is averaging 11.13 K/9 through 147 1/3 innings. Morton allowed two unearned runs in five innings of work August 17 against the A's in Oakland but Morton is a sparkling 8-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 starts at home this season. Morton will try and hold a resurgent Oakland offense down and is a solid, if unspectacular, fantasy play for Tuesday.
