Kendrys Morales Homers for Seventh Straight Game
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays designated hitter Kendrys Morales is on some kind of roll right now. He smacked a two-run shot off of Philadelphia Phillies starter Vince Velasquez in the third inning of Sunday's game, making that his seventh straight game with a home run. He has raised his average up to a season-high .264 with the hot stretch while tallying 21 home runs and 54 RBI. He has an opportunity to tie the major league record for consecutive games with a homer on Monday night against the lowly Baltimore Orioles. David Hess is scheduled to take the mound for the O's, and he possesses a 5.50 ERA on the season. While this kind of productivity is clearly unsustainable, Morales is making it very hard to leave him on the waiver wire. He should be picked up in any leagues with 12 or more teams.
