6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed just 9 of 19 passes for 135 yards in Saturday’s preseason tilt against the Indianapolis Colts. He was also fortunate to get away with multiple near interceptions. However, the San Francisco signal-caller didn’t get much help from his supporting cast, as several drops in the contest plagued the offense. Despite the underwhelming performance, there are still plenty of reasons for optimism as Garoppolo heads into his first full season as the 49ers starter. He has huge upside In Kyle Shanahan’s QB-friendly offense and should have a healthy group of weapons ready for Week 1 of the regular season. Garoppolo is currently the 10th quarterback coming off the board, with an ADP of the ninth round.--Mike Dente
