O.J. Howard Catches Both Targets Friday
6 years agoBuccaneers tight end O.J. Howard caught both passes targeted to him Friday against the Lions. The second-year TE out of Alabama ended the game with two catches for 22 yards, one of them being for 17 yards on the opening drive of the game. Howard enters the 2018 season as the Bucs' second starting TE, next to veteran Cameron Brate. While Howard should take a step forward this season, expectations should be tempered due to the receiving talent on the field. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and DeSean Jackson are all going to be fed. Even Cameron Brate will take targets away. Don't expect much of a breakout from Howard unless one of them goes down.
