Mitch Moreland Leaves Thursday's Game With Knee Injury
6 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland left Thursday's game against the Cleveland Indians in the first inning with a left knee contusion. He slid into the camera well while tracking a foul ball. Blake Swihart took over for him at first base. Moreland was starting to turn it around after a dismal month at the plate. He had a .300 average with a homer and five RBI over his last seven games. Regardless, it seems as though the injury is not very serious and Moreland should be considered day-to-day. He should only be rostered in leagues of 12 teams or more, even with his exposure to a potent Red Sox lineup.
