Zach Eflin Hammered In Washington
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starter Zach Eflin had another dreadful outing Wednesday night against the Washington Nationals. The 24-year-old lasted just 3 1/3 innings, surrendering 10 hits and five runs, walking two and striking out two as well. It was his shortest outing in a month, as he allowed four earned runs for a second consecutive start. Eflin has flashed signs of positive consistency, including a spectacular June, but he hasn’t been able to find a rhythm as the Phillies find themselves in a troubling slide.
