6 years agoDespite his best season as a professional, Tony Finau failed to qualify for one of the eight automatic spots for the U.S. Ryder Cup team. The rising star can still make the team by virtue of a captain's pick. Finau will need to play well throughout the FedEx Cup Playoffs, beginning this week at the Northern Trust. Ridgewood Country Club doesn't set up well for Finau's distance off the tee, but he has proven himself to be adaptable to different course types this season. Finau is searching for a breakthrough victory in a big event and should have some chances at a win over the next few tournaments.
