Vince Velasquez Pitches Well In Another Short Outing
6 years agoFor the third consecutive time, Philadelphia Phillies starter Vince Velasquez lasted less than five innings in his start. Taking on the Washington Nationals just hours after the hosts traded away two of their best players, Velasquez went just four innings, two innings before a 106-minute rain delay and two after. He allowed just one run on three hits, walking one and striking out three. With just 58 pitches under his belt, however, he was removed. While this was his third consecutive time pitching no more than four innings, it was his best start of the three.
