Roman Quinn Hits First Career Home Run
6 years agoOne bright spot for the Philadelphia Phillies in Tuesday night’s defeat to the Washington Nationals was outfielder Roman Quinn. The 25-year-old started in right field and batted ninth, picking up two hits including his first career home run in the fifth inning. Quinn has seen action in most of the games the Phillies have played this month and is coming off a solid series against the Mets that saw him pick up five hits in five games. With two more hits on Tuesday, Quinn is hitting .311 for the season, providing a spark as the Phillies prepare for the final month of the season with a pennant race in full effect.
