Josh Allen To Start Third Preseason Game
6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will start the third preseason game on Sunday night when the Cincinnati Bengals pay a visit to New Era Field in Orchard Park, a source said Monday. The rookie gets the nod over Nathan Peterman and AJ McCarron (collarbone). It's not necessarily a lock that Allen ends up being the guy under center heading into Week 1, but he certainly will have a golden opportunity to grab the bull by the horns with a huge performance. McCarron is sidelined with a sore collarbone, although he caught a break when it was revealed he did not suffer a hairline fracture. It's a fluid situation at the moment in Buffalo. McCarron might have the best 'right now' fantasy appeal of the three QBs on the roster, while Allen is certainly the most attractive in dynasty formats. Whomever is the field general in Week 1 in Buffalo is only worth using as a low-end QB2 in formats using two signal callers, however.
