Charles Clay's Reliability Should Continue
6 years agoBuffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay is still leaning towards being the same reliable, consistent player we've always been accustomed to despite the latest situation that surrounds the quarterback position. After wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, we have the likes of Corey Coleman and Zay Jones, who are both trying to prove themselves in this offense. The 29-year-old vet will be key to any success the Bills have this season. Last season, Clay was ranked No. 18 at the position in standard leagues. Unless rookie quarterback Josh Allen (and to a lesser degree Nathan Peterman) catches fire to kick off his career, it's difficult to think that Clay will be any better than what he has been. He should continue to be a nice safety valve over the middle in the flat and through the seams. Clay falls in nicely as a TE2 option. His value is slightly better in PPR formats.
