6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went 10-for-12 for 136 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Garoppolo engineered a 78-yard opening drive that ended with a two-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Trent Taylor. Despite the one interception on a tipped ball that could have been caught by wide receiver Dante Pettis, Garoppolo impressed all around, including a well-thrown bomb down the sideline for 40 yards to wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. So far this preseason, Garoppolo has looked solid in limited action and is pushing towards a low-end QB1 status and is worthy of a mid-round pick.--Calvin McAlee
