Laquon Treadwell Looking Forward to Fresh Start
7 years agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has always been his harshest critic. The former first-round pick has failed to live up to expectations during his first two years in the NFL, but indications out of training camp suggest that Treadwell may finally be able to turn things around this season. To be clear, Treadwell is not going to be a Pro Bowl caliber receiver at any point in his career, but the potential to be a weekly offensive contributor is still there. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer mentioned that quarterback Kirk Cousins has an open mind about the embattled receiver. Cousins has not heard all the negativity that has plagued Treadwell throughout his young career and has not developed any preconceived notions about him aside from what he has seen on the field in practice. Treadwell is getting a fresh start with a new quarterback and has looked really solid practicing with the first team offense. It seems likely that the WR3 spot on the roster will belong to him come Week 1. While there are a lot of touches to go around on that Vikings offense, taking a late flier on the athletically-gifted receiver could pay off in deep leagues if Treadwell can carry some of this success over into the regular season.

Laquon Treadwell Goes For 72 Yards In Win
7 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Laquon Treadwell caught all seven of his targets for 72 yards in the team's win against the Cardinals. The 29-year-old signed with the Colts this offseason and hopes to make a spot on the 53-man roster, currently slated as a WR4 on the team's depth chart. Treadwell will look to build off of an impressive outing when the Colts face off against the Bengals in their final preseason game on Thursday.

Indianapolis Colts Sign Former First Round Pick Laquon Treadwell
8 months agoThe Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with wide receiver Laquon Treadwell on Wednesday. The Colts waived wide receiver Xavier White in a corresponding move. Treadwell had limited opportunities last season with the Baltimore Ravens, appearing in only five games and making one reception on three targets in a meaningless Week 18 game. Drafted 23rd overall in 2016 by the Vikings, Treadwell has yet to surpass 35 catches or 434 receiving yards in a single season. His career has been marred by inconsistency, having not played more than six games in a season since his modest career-best year with Jacksonville in 2021. With a receiving corps already featuring Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, rookie Adonai Mitchell, and Alec Pierce, Treadwell joins as a camp hopeful aiming to secure a depth role on the roster.

Ravens Waive Laquon Treadwell
1 year agoThe Baltimore Ravens waived wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and placed defensive back Damarion Williams (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve on Monday. Treadwell has bounced around from the team's practice squad and the 53-man roster in 2023. The 28-year-old former first-rounder only appeared in five games with Baltimore and had one reception on three targets for 16 yards in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers when the Ravens were resting a lot of their regulars. Williams began the 2023 season on Injured Reserve after having ankle surgery. He was activated from IR before Week 15 but was inactive for the next three games before finally making his season debut in Week 18.

Laquon Treadwell Scores In Preseason Finale
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Laquon Treadwell found paydirt on Saturday night during the team's 20-26 loss in their final preseason game. The 28-year-old registered 33 yards on two catches and one score. Treadwell was the lone receiver with a touchdown in this game while catching both of his targets. He was competing with the likes of James Proche II, Tylan Wallace, and Dontay Demus Jr. for the sixth receiver spot on the roster. If Treadwell does make it on the roster, he would be a very deep bench piece that wouldn't make him fantasy-relevant.
