Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy hit his sixth home run of the year Wednesday against the Cardinals. The dinger came in the top of the ninth inning against rookie Daniel Poncedeleon while trailing. The home run was more meaningful for Murphy's stat line on the year than anything because it seems as if he's slowly but surely turned it on in recent weeks. Although Murphy's homer was his only hit of the night, it managed to get his hit-streak to eight games. The all-star second baseman has had a rough year stemming from an offseason knee surgery but finally looks like himself. He should start to carry teams' middle infield in the fantasy stretch run and make good on his draft position.--Kev Mahserejian
