J.A. Happ Dominant In Win Against Rays
6 years agoThe New York Yankees are continually being rewarded for their acquisition of starter J.A. Happ from the Toronto Blue Jays last month. The 35-year-old pitched like an ace against the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night, going seven shutout innings in a 3-1 victory. Happ allowed just one hit, walking four and striking out four in the 106-pitch performance. He's now won all three games that he’s started with the Yankees, having gone at least six innings each time out, posting quality starts each time and allowing four runs in 19 innings of work. While the club currently has worries over Luis Severino, the arrivals of Lance Lynn and Happ have been much-needed boosts.
