Nicholas Castellanos Has Stellar Day at Plate
6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Nicholas Castellanos went 5-for-5 on Monday with a home run, two doubles, and five RBI as the Tigers beat the White Sox 9-5. This was Castellanos' first five-hit game in his career, and it came at a great time as he had been slumping (hitting just .166 over his past 12 games). His line now sits at .291/.340/.492 on the year, chipping in 17 home runs, 64 RBI, 62 runs scored, and two steals. While his walk rate (5.9%) and strikeout rate (23.2%) are poor, his batting average, on-base percentage, and counting stats are a good bet to continue benefitting your fantasy team. He's still a firm hold in any and all fantasy leagues.
