Touki Toussaint Stellar in Big League Debut
6 years agoAtlanta Braves prospect Touki Toussaint dominated the Miami Marlins in his first MLB start on Monday afternoon. Toussaint went six innings, giving up only one run on two hits while striking out four batters and walking two. The 22-year-old is just the latest Braves youngster to immediately jump onto the scene with success. He is the Braves seventh-ranked prospect. Toussaint will now return to Triple-A Gwinnett, and he cannot return to the majors until August 23 at the earliest, but it seems incredibly likely that he will get at least one more start this month. If that goes well, he could conceivably be a rotation regular for the rest of the season. He should definitely be owned in dynasty leagues and managers in deep redraft leagues looking for an edge could take a flier on him. Regardless, the safest fantasy play with him is to wait and see what happens when he gets called up again.
