Alex Cobb Takes Tough Loss Sunday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Alex Cobb was out-dueled by Chris Sale in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Red Sox. Cobb pitched well, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits (including a home run) and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Despite his season totals (3-15 with a 5.31 ERA) Cobb has pitched better lately, now going six straight starts of allowing three earned runs or less. He will face a tough matchup against Cleveland in his next start and is still tough to trust, especially as fantasy seasons get down to the playoffs.
