Max Muncy Hits Pinch-Hit Homer Thursday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy joined in the home run parade on Thursday against the Rockies, hitting a pinch-hit solo shot in the seventh inning off of Scott Oberg. The success was nice to see, as Muncy has struggled mightily in the second half of the season, hitting just .197 with nine RBI in 69 plate appearances. With Justin Turner healthy, Brian Dozier in the lineup, and Cody Bellinger heating up, Muncy will likely have to fight for playing time, especially given his slump. The 27-year-old was great in the first half and may very well turn things around. However, in crunch time for the fantasy season, owners may consider dropping him for a hot waiver wire player depending on their playoff situation.
