Nick Easton Likely Out For Season
6 years agoMinnesota Vikings left guard Nick Easton underwent surgery on Thursday to repair a herniated disk in his neck. It seems likely that Easton will be out for the entirety of the 2018 season, although the injury should not be career-threatening. This is a tough blow for the Vikings, who are already paper thin on the offensive line. Tom Compton is the likely candidate to fill the hole at guard. While Minnesota has a plethora of playmakers in their offense, it will not matter if Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook have no time to let a play develop. With center Pat Elfein (ankle) and right guard Mike Remmers (ankle) still out, Minnesota could conceivably have one of the worst offensive lines in the league come Week 1.
