Miguel Andujar’s Three Hits Lead Way In Chicago Win
6 years agoIt’s becoming increasingly obvious that the best hitter on the New York Yankees presently is a rookie. Of course, that wouldn’t be Gleyber Torres. Instead, it’s become Miguel Andujar. The third baseman piled on three more hits Tuesday night in Chicago against the White Sox, including a bloop single to left that drove in the game-winning run in the 13th inning. The 23-year-old ranks second on the club in hits, but leads in batting average, doubles, and ranks in the top five of virtually every major hitting category on the team. In Aaron Judge’s absence, he increasingly continues to prove he should be a favorite in the AL Rookie of the Year discussion.
