Neil Walker Cranks Long Home Run In Win
6 years agoThe New York Yankees led MLB in home runs at the All-Star break but have significantly slowed since then, ranking near the bottom of the league in the category since then. On Monday night in Chicago, however, the team connected on two runs, both coming in the eighth. The first came from Gleyber Torres, but the second came from Neil Walker -- a monster shot to center field. Walker, who was starting in second base, has found a second wind in his first season with the Yankees, having just wrapped up a .345 month of July. With the injury to Aaron Judge, he’ll continue to see action, seeing time as a DH and occasionally playing the field.
