Lance Lynn Dazzles As Yankees Snap Losing Streak
6 years agoThe New York Yankees were in desperate need to stop the bleeding Monday night on the south side of Chicago. Taking on the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, they turned to Lance Lynn, who was making his first start for the club since replacing Sonny Gray in the rotation. The 31-year-old completely dominated the Sox, allowing just two hits and no runs across 7 1/3 innings. After allowing a hit in the first, he retired 19 consecutive batters before surrendering his second hit in the eighth. Additionally, he struck out nine batters, his most in nearly two months, as he recorded his first victory with the Yankees. Looking forward, Lynn has set himself up to be a major player in the waiver wire market as he figures to remain in the starting rotation for the foreseeable future.
