Jonathan Villar Showcases Offensive Skills Sunday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles second baseman/shortstop Jonathan Villar did a little bit of everything offensively on Sunday against the Rangers, going 3-for-3 with a single, a double, a solo home run, a walk, and a stolen base. The 27-year-old has shown fantasy-relevant skills in the past and highlighted them in Sunday's win. He is now hitting .274 with seven HR, 24 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 297 plate appearances this season. Villar may be worth a look in deeper roto/categories leagues despite playing in a weak offense, as his speed will be valuable regardless of what the rest of the lineup produces.
