Martavis Bryant Needs To Do More In Training Camp
6 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver Martavis Bryant is having his ups and downs at training camp and Coach Jon Gruden is expecting more from him. Bryant is sitting behind Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson on the depth chart, but his role isn’t yet set in stone. According to Michael Gehlken, Las Vegas Review-Journal, Bryant has looked good in camp, but the pressure from other receivers on the roster is there. Coach Gruden was quoted as saying, “He’s (Bryant) got to master the offense and become more versatile, and that’s the key to making this team better.” Over the course of his career, Bryant has always proven to be a downfield threat, giving him decent fantasy value due to his touchdown upside. Until he has a defined role in the offense, he will continue to be a fringe fantasy option, with two other receivers comfortably ahead of him on the depth chart.
