Jalen Beeks Earns First Win
Jalen Beeks earned his first career win Thursday versus Los Angeles. He came in as the first reliever after opener Hunter Wood dominated the first two innings. Beeks would go five innings where he allowed the only two runs the Angels would score in the game but would be awarded the win. The outing was Beek's best of his four career outings by a large margin, as it was the first time he allowed fewer runs than innings pitched. He could develop into a solid pitcher someday but currently is not much of a fantasy asset. The more impressive display was how Wood struck out five of the seven batters he faced.

Jalen Beeks Avoids Serious Injury
Jalen Beeks (forearm) came back negative following his early removal from the team's loss against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The 31-year-old picked up his fourth hold in the contest, allowing one hit while striking out one batter. However, he was struck with a comebacker on his left forearm. Fortunately, there was no structural damage to his arm, but the injury required him to leave the game as his arm immediately began to swell. He can be considered day-to-day for now. Beeks has been superb for the D-Backs in 2025, bolstering a 0.60 ERA and 0.73 WHIP over 15 innings pitched. He's struck out 15 batters (27.3% K%) to just three walks on the season.

Jalen Beeks Signs Minor-League Deal With Houston
Jalen Beeks to a minor-league contract. Beeks spent the 2024 campaign with the Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Across 70 total frames, Beeks held a 4.50 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP. He tallied just 55 strikeouts and held an 8.7 percent walk rate. Despite his low strikeout production, the southpaw generated an elite 4.8 percent hard-hit rate and a 33.0 percent hard-hit rate, placing him in the 91st and 89th percentile among qualified pitchers. During his time with the Rockies he tallied nine saves. Fantasy managers should monitor his status during the remainder of spring training as he will likely be competing for a middle-relief role in the Houston bullpen. If he were to make the Opening Day roster, he will likely not see many high-leverage opportunities.

Jalen Beeks Picks Up Seventh Save
Jalen Beeks recorded the final four outs in Thursday's victory versus the Milwaukee Brewers to record his seventh save of the season. Beeks faced the minimum of four batters and recorded one strikeout in his outing. The Rockies haven't officially named a closer and this was the lefties first save since May 31. With the Rockies bullpen being a mess and not many save opportunities being around to gobble up, Beeks can safely remain on the waiver wire in all formats with Tyler Kinley and Justin Lawrence still in the mix to earn saves.

Jalen Beeks Earns Another Save
Jalen Beeks was called upon to hold a two-run lead versus the Texas Rangers on Sunday. He was able to earn his second save in four days with a scoreless inning during Sunday's victory. It's uncertain what the Rockies are doing with the closer situation right now. It seems that Beeks is going to be in the mix alongside Justin Lawrence. Beeks holds a 2.33 ERA in 19 1/3 innings but has a 14/8 K/BB ratio to go along with it. Beeks isn't a great option, but could be worth a look for fantasy managers despite for saves.
