This set the stage for Maikel Franco, arguably the top batter the club would want at the plate in that situation. The 25-year-old promptly drilled a walk-off, three-run home run to left, additionally delivering an emphatic bat flip. It was a dramatic victory and hit for Franco, who continues to be in sensational form, now hitting .318 across his last 30 games, including .345 across his last seven. The Phillies remain in first place of the NL East, just half a game ahead of the Atlanta Braves.
