Nick Pivetta Records Quality Start Against Marlins
6 years agoWhile the Philadelphia Phillies would pick up a dramatic victory over the Miami Marlins Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park, things appeared to be headed in a different direction early on. Starting pitcher Nick Pivetta had a good start, surrendering just two runs on four hits across six innings of work. It was his first quality start since mid-July at Camden Yards against the Baltimore Orioles, which is still the last time he recorded a victory. Unluckily for Pivetta, his offense awoke late in the game, as he left with his club trailing. Despite the good performance, Pivetta remains an inconsistent starter with a 6-9 record and a 4.75 ERA.
