J.R. Sweezy Re-Signed By Seattle
6 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks re-signed offensive lineman J.R. Sweezy on Wednesday to help bring some more competition to their revamped offensive line. With new offensive line coach Mike Solari running the show, Sweezy returns to compete with right guard DJ Fluker, who has been hampered by a mild knee issue. Seattle had let Sweezy walk before the 2017 season, and he signed a four-year deal with Tampa. He was cut after one season. Sweezy is likely just a camp body to help generate some competition, but if he can adjust to the new man-blocking scheme, he could squeak his way into a roster spot as the team hopes to better protect Russell Wilson, their prized possession.
