Jake Arrieta Helps Phillies Snap Losing Streak
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies finally won a game Tuesday night, snapping a four-game losing streak by taking down the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The club was led by starter Jake Arrieta, who pitched just as well as team No. 1 Aaron Nola on Monday. The 32-year-old went seven innings, surrendering just one run on six hits, striking out seven along the way. The performance, which resulted in a victory, finished off a bounce-back month for Arrieta. Following a 6.66 ERA in June, the former Cy Young winner went 4-0 in six starts this month, posting a much better 3.18 ERA.
