Carlos Santana Drives In Three Runs In Matinee Victory
6 years agoPlaying an early game just hours after winning a 16-inning marathon, the Philadelphia Phillies once again beat the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park. The offensive star of the game for the home team was first baseman Carlos Santana, who led the team with two hits, including a major bases-clearing triple in the fifth inning. It was the final blow in a game-turning inning which saw the Phillies score five runs to pull away. The 32-year-old has looked much better since the All-Star break, picking up seven hits in six games, including a home run and eight RBI.
